On March 1st, 2025, ToxTails, Port Macquarie’s premier charity gala, returned in spectacular style, bringing together the region’s finest for an unforgettable evening of fundraising, entertainment, and celebration. Proudly sponsored by Regional Australia Bank, this year’s event raised over $62,000, bringing the total funds raised since ToxTails’ inception in 2022 to an incredible $180,000 over four years.
Held at the Port Macquarie Racecourse, the event provided a stunning backdrop for a night of generosity, glamour, and community spirit.
The event was created by Dr. Kristy Kostalas, local GP and owner of Port Medical Aesthetics Clinic, with the name Toxtails being a play on words, reflecting both the cocktail-style event and the cosmetic clinic's industry ties.
With proceeds supporting Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services, the generosity of our guests and sponsors continues to make a tangible impact—providing emergency accommodation, legal aid, and essential support services for those in need.
Liberty’s CEO, Kelly Lamb, expressed profound gratitude for the generosity and commitment of the Port Macquarie-Hastings community. ''Every dollar raised at the ToxTails event directly supports local women and children experiencing domestic violence''.
Liberty extends a special thank you to Dr. Kristy and the PMAC Team for their effort in making the event a success, as well as to the event’s major sponsor, Regional Australia Bank, for their generosity and dedication to helping women break free from financial abuse.
A speech by Les Bailey, COO of Regional Australia Bank, highlighted the importance of financial support for women escaping domestic violence situations. Les spoke passionately about the critical need for financial freedom and protection from financial abuse—values aligned to Regional Australia Bank’s mission.
The bank proudly embraced their role in the night —advocating for regional prosperity and as active partners in addressing challenges impacting their communities.
Their close collaboration with Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services cements this commitment. Les Bailey’s powerful words echoed throughout the evening, reminding everyone that “change starts with all of us.”
The Port Macquarie Racecourse was transformed into an elegant, inviting space thanks to the stunning event styling by Willow Days, with event lighting provided by Letz Get Lit, creating a spectacular ambiance for the night.
As a special treat, the first 200 guests were gifted a Chemist Warehouse entry bag, each valued at over $150, packed with luxury skincare and wellness products.
Food was an undeniable highlight of the evening, with Char Bar delivering a stunning selection of gourmet canapés that kept guests well-fed as they mingled.
The evening’s drinks selection was equally impressive, featuring craft gin cocktails from Three Wise Men Gin Distillery, adding a touch of refinement to the night’s offerings. Guests were also treated to the signature ToxTail Cocktail, a specially crafted drink exclusive to the event, which became a standout favorite among attendees. Adding to the fun, the interactive champagne wall allowed guests to press a button and have a chilled bottle elegantly delivered straight into their hands—a truly VIP experience.
For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert table was generously stocked by Any Occasion Cakes and Party Food and Cassera’s Bakehouse, offering a decadent array of treats that were as beautiful as they were delicious.
Live entertainment for the night was provided by the talented Rhys Callinan, whose acoustic set and dynamic live music created the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration and generosity.
